About
Because the earliest relationships shape everything that comes next
Serving a family in the earliest years of a child's life can have a lifelong impact. For families facing added complexity—poverty, trauma, premature birth, or substance use—the impact of timely, expert support can make a profound difference.
Through parent groups, home visits, and clinical services, JF&CS’s Center for Early Relationship Support helps parents build secure, nurturing relationships with their children—the foundation for lifelong resilience and well-being. Our teams of home visitors, parent–child clinicians, and early childhood mental health consultants deliver compassionate, culturally responsive care at pivotal moments.
By surrounding families with expert support during the earliest years, JF&CS helps strengthen the relationships that shape lifelong development.
Over the past year, JF&CS promoted positive development for more than 1,300 families with young children. In 2025, we continued to scale our effectiveness by training 250 staff in early education centers, impacting 475 children in their care. We also taught home‑visiting skills to partner organizations, introduced new clinical groups that combine clinical expertise with the power of peer support, and contributed to research demonstrating the effectiveness of our parent–child psychotherapy model.
By surrounding families—and the professionals who serve them—with expert support during the earliest years, JF&CS helps families strengthen the relationships that shape lifelong development.
