Support Groups

Aging brings with it new challenges and unique situations. Our support groups provide help to those feeling overwhelmed, those feeling loss and grief, and anyone who needs support as they face impactful life transitions.

Guardianship

We provide services and full-time support to older adults who are no longer legally competent to make decisions regarding their health and welfare.

Support for Caregivers

JF&CS recognizes the remarkable physical and emotional labor required of caregivers, and offers services focused on supporting caregiving and meeting their needs as well.

Home-based Caregiving for Older Adults

Adult Family Care (AFC) is a MassHealth program that helps individuals with disabilities and/or medical conditions live in the community with related or non-related families by offering financial assistance and support services.

Group Adult Foster Care

Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) is a Medicaid-funded long-term care community option that provides elderly and/or disabled clients with daily personal care assistance, meals, housekeeping, and personal emergency response services.

Charlotte & Richard Okonow Parkinson's Family Support

The Charlotte & Richard Okonow Parkinson’s Family Support program helps families live as fully as possible while managing the many challenges of Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Alzheimer's/Related Dementias Family Support

Provides information and support to individuals and families confronting changes and challenges brought on by dementia. We care for the whole person by offering creative outlets and social opportunities that give life meaning and joy.

Schechter Holocaust Services

Support and resources for the hundreds of Holocaust survivors in the Greater Boston area.

Volunteer Visitors

The Friendly Visitor Program matches volunteers with isolated elders who are living either in their homes or long-term care facilities. Through one-on-one visits the program offers companionship, helps alleviate loneliness, promotes aging with dignity, and for many offers a treasured connection to Judaism.
