There are a number of things you can do to make your community a safer and healthier place for everyone. Help us spread the word.
Host an Awareness-Raising Workshop
Bring an awareness-raising program to your synagogue, youth group, school, social group (including book groups, mahjong clubs, etc.), Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Chesed/Caring Community committee, Social Action committee, parent organization, or communal organization. Learn more about the education and outreach programs JF&CS Journey to Safety offers.
Hang Jewish Domestic Violence Coalition posters in restroom stalls or on community bulletin boards. Contact us for copies of posters for your community.
Talk About It
Talk about domestic abuse and encourage your clergy to speak about it. Engage others in your congregation, communal organization, or social group about how to raise awareness in your community.
Write About It
Write a bulletin or newsletter article about domestic abuse and list helpline numbers in your publications and on your website. We are happy to help you figure out what to say.
Post It, Share It, Tweet It
Post your thoughts, pass along relevant articles with your comments, and share our video. Start an online conversation on whichever social media outlet(s) you use.
