As food insecurity has grown in Greater Boston over the last few years, the need for Family Table has too. Our numbers have increased as we are providing emergency food for many people impacted by ongoing financial hardship.

Family Table volunteers are needed to:

• Pack and deliver groceries on Sunday distribution days. Children are welcome. See our upcoming distribution dates in the chart below.
• Assist during the week in Waltham — On Tuesdays, volunteers help support clients at our weekly Marketplace distribution. On Thursdays, volunteers neatly prepack clients’ bags. Volunteers must be at least 17 years old or age 14+ with a guardian.

All volunteers age 18 and older must undergo a JF&CS CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) background check. This documentation is due two weeks prior to the distribution.

Individuals may not participate if they are feeling unwell. If you are just getting over a respiratory virus, please wait to volunteer until you have not had a fever (without medication) for 24 hours AND your other symptoms are improving.
