Steven Weil, current JF&CS Board president, and his wife, Julie, reside in Sharon with their two young sons, Michael and Daniel. Steven has been an active volunteer at JF&CS since approximately 1997, when Bet Tzedek Legal Services became part of the agency. In 2007, he was awarded the Simone Lottor Exceptional Service Award by JF&CS. In 2019, he was awarded the Betsy Gross President’s Award. Steven is a partner in the firm Doherty, Dugan, Cannon, Raymond & Weil, P.C. in Franklin and has practiced law in Massachusetts since 1986. He specializes in civil litigation and family law. He is a 1982 graduate of Union College and a 1986 graduate of Boston University School of Law. He is a past president of Temple Beth David in Westwood. Currently, Steven and his family are members of Temple Sinai in Sharon. At JF&CS, Steven serves as Vice-President of the Board; Chair of the Center for Basic Needs Assistance Advisory Committee; member of the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Advisory Board, Board Governance; and sits on the Compliance and Risk Management and Nominating Committees. In his free time, Steven is an annual participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge, plays guitar, and gardens.
