Patti McWeeney

Board of Directors


Patti McWeeney and her husband Michael live in Boxford. She earned her B.A. from Skidmore College and J.D. from Emory Law School. Her Boston legal career began at Posternak, Blankstein & Lund. She later moved in-house as a Managing Attorney at General Electric Company's liability insurer where she directed the defense of GE Power’s global insured litigation. Throughout her career she lectured frequently at GE and legal seminars. Her favorite topic focused on helping women lawyers prosper in their careers. In 2014, she was honored to receive the Defense Research Institute Award for the Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession. Upon retiring, Patti taught a course called What’s So Funny About Hamlet? She has worked on several CJP programs and committees including the Women's Philanthropy Board and co-chair of the Boston delegation's 2027 International Lion of Judah Conference. At JF&CS, she chairs the Risk and Compliance Committee and serves on both the Nominating and Basic Needs Advisory Committees. Up North, Patti and Michael volunteer for Family Table. She also co-chaired the North Shore JCC’s Jewish Book Month Series. On Wednesdays she can be found volunteering at Project Home Again in Andover. Patti and Michael enjoy traveling, playing tennis, reading, going to the theatre and walking in the woods with Rosie, their sweet black lab.
