Board of Directors
David Bernstein is a Partner at Baring Ventures Capital Partners, an investment firm with a focus on emerging markets, where he is responsible for investor relations, fundraising, fund governance, and ESG. In these roles, David has been actively involved in the firm’s investment process and strategic development for over 20 years. Prior to Baring Ventures, he worked at the New York Association for New Americans (NYANA), a New York City–based refugee resettlement organization, and Business for Social Responsibility, a nonprofit based in San Francisco, where he advised U.S. multinational companies on labor, environmental and community development issues.
David has a bachelor’s degree in History from Columbia University and a master’s degree in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is a member of JF&CS’s Center for Basic Needs Assistance Advisory Committee and is an alumnus of CJP’s Acharai Leadership Development program. David lives in Brookline with his wife, Tanya, and their two children.
