Abby Fierman lives in the South End with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Tyler and Jack. She is a graduate of Bates College and received her Master’s in Nursing from Columbia University. Abby is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. For 16 years, she worked in the OB/GYN department at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, where she provided comprehensive care for women across the lifespan. Abby is also a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Her role includes providing trauma-informed, expert forensic nursing care and medical forensic examination for sexual assault patients. In 2025, Abby was awarded the Massachusetts Department of Health SANE Compassionate Caregiver Award. Most recently, Abby founded The Bare Facts, a sexual health education company for adolescents and young adults.

Abby is an active member of CJP’s Women’s Philanthropy. She has served on the Women’s Philanthropy Board and held the role of Vice President of Leadership. Abby is also an active member of The Miriam Fund, where she has served as co-chair of the Secular Grant Committee and currently co-chairs the Future Funders cohort. Abby is an alumnus of CJP’s Acharai Leadership Development program and is a past recipient of CJP’s Superstar Award. At JF&CS Abby serves on the Center for Early Relationship Support Advisory Committee. She is a member of Temple Shalom in Newton, where she serves on the Reproductive Justice Initiative Committee and the Israel Engagement Committee.
