Lauren & Mark Rubin Visiting Moms®
Sometimes a friendly face, adult conversation, a chance to tell someone that you feel overwhelmed and tired can make a world of difference.
Visiting Moms is a free service that matches volunteers with new moms or dads during the first year of their baby’s life, whether it’s the first baby or a new baby in the household. Volunteers are trained and supervised and support parents who are adjusting to parenthood, isolated, or overwhelmed. Volunteers visit new parents at home and provide a weekly visit for at least two months or up until the baby’s first birthday.
To Refer Yourself or Someone Else
To learn more about the program or request a Visiting Mom for yourself or someone else, contact the program director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-693-5625. Referrals are accepted during pregnancy. Visiting Moms is non-sectarian, free of charge, and open to all parents in the community. Please let us know if you require any accommodations to receive support from a Visiting Mom.
Visiting Moms volunteer opportunities are available in the following communities: Central MA, North Shore; Boston; the Cambridge/Somerville/Watertown area; and the northern suburbs, which include Arlington, Malden, Wakefield, and Woburn.
Interested in volunteering? Fill out our volunteer registration form to start the process.
Thanks to a very generous gift from the Epstein-Rubin Family, the Visiting Moms Program is named for Lauren & Mark Rubin.
