Lauren & Mark Rubin Visiting Moms®
Sometimes a friendly face, adult conversation, a chance to tell someone that you feel overwhelmed and tired can make a world of difference.
Lauren & Mark Rubin Visiting Moms® is a free service that matches volunteers with new moms or dads during the first year of their baby’s life, whether it’s the first baby or a new baby in the household. Volunteers are trained and supervised and support parents who are adjusting to parenthood, isolated, or overwhelmed. Volunteers visit new parents at home and provide a weekly visit for at least two months or up until the baby’s first birthday.
To Refer Yourself or Someone Else
To learn more about the program or request a Rubin Visiting Moms volunteer for yourself or someone else, contact the program director, Tracy Rich, at trich@jfcsboston.org or 781-693-1361. Referrals are accepted during pregnancy. Rubin Visiting Moms is non-sectarian, free of charge, and open to all parents in the community. Please let us know if you require any accommodations to receive support from our program.
*Please note that we are actively accepting referrals and following up on them with a combination of in-person and virtual services.
