David Schechter and his wife, Gail, live in Chestnut Hill and are parents of two children. David was the recipient of the President's Award from JF&CS in 2008 and is a Past President of the JF&CS Board of Directors. He was a Sponsor Chair for JF&CS’s 140th Anniversary Celebration, co-chaired the Auction for the 2007 JF&CS Benefit, and also co-chaired the 2008 JF&CS Benefit. David's campaign for donations in support of Holocaust Services at JF&CS led to the program being renamed Schechter Holocaust Services. With a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, David has held professional and entrepreneurial positions in corporate planning, stockbrokerage, and engineering. David is founder and manager of Perspective Capital Management LLC and The Schechter Foundation. At JF&CS, David chairs the Schechter Holocaust Services Advisory Committee and serves on the Board Governance and Finance Committees.
