Our Services
Chaverim Shel Shalom (Friends of Peace) is a program for Jewish adults living with chronic mental health challenges.
*We have one online event a month, while most of our Jewish Life groups are back in person. Join us for Torah Study Sessions online each month: the date changes each month, so please contact Arielle for details. To pre-register for the Zoom gatherings or to find out more, please contact Arielle Boloker at jewishlife@jfcsboston.org or 781-693-5004.
In addition to cultural, educational, and social programs, Chaverim Shel Shalom offers ongoing support and connection to Jewish tradition and the Jewish community. Members meet two to four times a month for social activities and “dinner & learn” programs with a Jewish theme. Members also participate in community activities including the Boston Jewish Film Festival and day trips in Greater Boston and Southern New England.
When: 2-4 times a month.
Cost: There is no cost to be a member of this group.
Registration is required. Contact Arielle Boloker at jewishlife@jfcsboston.org or 781-693-5004 to learn about upcoming events.
Members of Chaverim Shel Shalom worked together to produce their own Haggadah for Passover. This Haggadah is one of healing and wholeness, and focuses on the strengths of the group's members, rather than on just their mental health challenges. You can read and download the Haggadah here!
