Family Table North Shore Volunteering

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Family Table's presence on the North Shore! In that time, Family Table has cemented its place in the community by providing hundreds of families with nutritious food and Jewish holiday items, nourishing body and spirit for each person we help. Last year alone, Family Table provided approximately 4,500 bags of groceries to people in need on the North Shore.

COVID-19 has impacted many people who were already struggling to get by and Family Table, like many other food pantries, has seen a significant increase in the number of people who need our help. Since the pandemic began, the number of families Family Table North Shore helps each month has increased 45%.

To meet this challenge, we are looking for people to pack and deliver groceries to clients and help us run our monthly Sunday distributions efficiently. Each month we have been falling short on volunteers and we must fill this gap so we can continue to provide food to all who need it.

Some volunteers choose to make Family Table a regular monthly commitment, while others join us as their schedules allow. We appreciate everyone who pitches in to make a difference in the lives of those in need! Will you step up with Family Table to fight hunger in the North Shore?

Please fill out our brief Family Table Application to sign up. Email familytable@jfcsboston.org if you have questions.
