Honoring Jackie Weinstein
Jackie Weinstein has been a member of the Board of Directors of JF&CS since 2000 and is the immediate Past President of JF&CS. She has been the Chair of the Disabilities Advisory Committee since 2002 and continued this role during her very successful tenure as Board President from 2011-2013.
Jackie received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her JD from the New York University School of Law. Prior to moving to Wellesley in 1992, Jackie practiced law in New York City for 10 years. After her son, Matthew, was diagnosed with autism in 1992, Jackie retired from practicing law and devoted her time to raising her two children. In addition to serving on the Disabilities Advisory Committee and the JF&CS Board during this period, Jackie served on the board of Camp Starfish, a summer camp dedicated to serving at-risk children with special needs. Jackie’s commitment to and enthusiasm for JF&CS has not abated since her presidency ended last June. Jackie is the Chair of the Board Governance Committee and she serves on the Nominating, Development, Strategic Plan Oversight, Compensation, and Board of Advocates Planning Committees.

is unparalleled. Her passion, enthusiasm, and contributions have had a powerful impact on the JF&CS community and the lives of individuals with disabilities.
