The end of 2011 is in sight and many of us are beginning to anticipate the upcoming holidays. For most of us, those plans include menus laden with mouth watering foods and inviting friends and family to join us around a festive Thanksgiving table.

Imagine for a moment that instead of planning an elaborate meal, your daily planning includes trying to figure out how you are going to provide a simple meal for your family. Or maybe you are thinking about whether you can fill a prescription or buy milk and bread. The idea of a Thanksgiving dinner, complete with a kosher turkey, is simply a luxury.
