Free Support Groups for Parents of Newborns

*Due to the COVID-19 situation, our weekly new parent support groups are meeting via Zoom video conferencing. To register for one of the groups, click the registration link in the listing. The link to participate will be shared once your registration is approved. New participants should register at least 24 hours in advance of the group to ensure that their registration is approved.

Offered by the Center for Early Relationship Support®all parents with a baby (or babies) under the age of one are invited to attend our FREE new parent support groups.

Our new parents groups (formerly known as "new moms groups") provide safe and nurturing spaces for mothers and/or fathers with their babies to give and receive support, ask questions, and begin building a parent community. 

Since 1989, our new parents groups and services have been empowering parents to find what works best for them and for their babies. All CERS support groups and services are non-sectarian and open to all parents in the community. Please let us know if you require any accommodations to participate. 

Arlington New Parents Group 

Fridays, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Register for the video support group.

There are 3 floors in the building. If you use the elevator, push the button for the first floor, not the second. If you are not using the elevator, enter the door facing Linwood Street and proceed straight down the hall and through the double doors.  We are in the large room on the right.

Brookline New Parents Group 

Tuesdays, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Register for the video support group.

Temple Ohabei Shalom has two entrances (office entrance on Beacon Street and the preschool entrance on Marshall Street). Please enter via the office entrance on Beacon Street. Ring the bell, announce that you are coming to the New Moms group, and you will be buzzed into the building. The group is held in the library.

Come straight up the driveway toward Medford High School. At the left hand corner of the building is a fenced-in children's play area. The Medford Family Network is right there (the only purple door in the building) with a large round sign with the MFN logo and name. You can park anywhere across the street (one long row of parking spaces). There is a ramp up to the door for strollers, and a doorbell to gain entrance.
