Bereavement Support Groups

*** Due to the COVID-19 situation, we are currently offering a virtual Bereavement Support Group on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon. To preregister, please email Barbara Sternfield, MA, Bereavement Specialist, at bsternfield@jfcsboston.org

Marjie Sokoll, our Director of Spirituality and Aging, is also available for phone conversations with people who are experiencing feelings of grief and loss during this time. Please call 781-693-5619 and leave your name and phone number. When she calls you back, the number will appear on your phone as “No Caller ID”.

Daytime Drop-In Bereavement Support Group

When: Second and fourth Wednesday of the month

11:00 a.m. - noon

Where: Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center

To pre-register, call the group facilitator, Barbara Sternfield, MA, Bereavement Specialist, at bsternfield@jfcsboston.org or 781-693-5684. There is no fee.

Evening Bereavement Support Group

When: Wednesday evenings (groups take place when there are enough participants to start a group)

Where: JF&CS Headquarters
