Café Hakalah

North Shore

A monthly event in Marblehead for Holocaust survivors. Programs include movies, musical performances, and discussions.

For our September gathering, guests are invited to enjoy a presentation from Marjie Sokoll, Director of the JF&CS Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing. Marjie will speak about Rosh Hashana and sing holiday songs. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

Brookline

We invite you to Café Hakalah, a monthly gathering of Holocaust survivors. 

Please join us for a wonderful violin and clarinet concert from Abigale Reisman and Nat Seelen. Abigale and Nat perform with the internationally-recognized klezmer bands, Ezekiel’s Wheels and the Romanian Gypsy quartet, Mierlita. They perform in the style of the “klezmorim," the Jewish wedding musicians of Eastern Europe.

When: Wednesday, October 30, 2019
2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Transportation is available for Newton, Allston/Brighton, Brookline, and Watertown residents only. A request for a ride must be made by Friday, October 25. Taxis must be canceled at least 2 hours in advance.
