Café Hakalah

North Shore

A monthly gathering in Marblehead for Holocaust survivors. Programs include movies, musical performances, and discussions.

SchechteHolocaust Services invites Holocaust Survivors to gather for a mock Passover Seder at the JCC of the North Shore. Rabbi David from Temple Sinai in Marblehead will lead the Seder using the Friendly Visitor Haggadah, which is written in English, Hebrew, and Russian. A light lunch will be provided. 

When: Wednesday, April 10, 2019
1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Brookline

Please join us for a special program honoring Holocaust survivors. Enjoy a kosher luncheon and listen to music from Kehillath Israel Nursery School children. 

This year, a professional photographer will join us to take your portrait. If you choose, come ready to pose! Each guest will receive a copy of their portrait as our gift.

When: Wednesday, May 1, 2019 
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Worcester  

We invite you to join us at Café Hakalah, a monthly gathering of Holocaust survivors. Come and celebrate with music, food, and old and new friends. 

Join us for a lively performance of Jewish music through the ages. Eric Greene will play Jewish classics, including songs from the liturgy, popular Yiddish songs, and even a few pieces by contemporary Jewish artists. Eric has been playing guitar and singing for nearly 20 years and combines his passion for singing and knowledge of Judaism to have a musical conversation with the audience.
