News & Event
In response to the escalating coronavirus situation, Drumming for Parkinson’s Disease will not meet on March 17. Beat the winter doldrums with Drumming for PD!
Drumming is a powerful ancient form of mind-body healing. Therapeutic drumming can reduce stress and anxiety while providing a vigorous upper body workout. Are you ready to find your beat? Experienced musicians and teachers, Monique Morimoto, MS, CPCC and Stephen Whitney, are bringing their unique drumming program to those with Parkinson’s. Partners are welcome, too! No prior musical experience is necessary. Just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
When: February 25, March 3, 10, 17 10:30 - 11:45 a.m.
Where: JF&CS Headquarters 1430 Main Street, Waltham
Cost: $60 per drummer, $90 per drummer + care partner
RSVP Required: Please register with Mallika Iyer by February 14, 2020 at miyer@bidmc.harvard.edu or 617-667-5215.
This program is presented by The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Jewish Family & Children's Service.
