The mission of Jewish Healing Connections is to help ensure that people in the Jewish community feel connected when facing isolation, illness or loss.

Jewish Healing Connections offers programs and services that connect people to Jewish tradition and the Jewish community.

Bikur Cholim (For people who are ill and their loved ones)

  • AIDS: Jewish Voices provides spiritual support to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • The Friendly Visitor Program matches caring volunteers with frail and isolated elders to provide companionship and a treasured connection to the Jewish community.
  • Nursing Home Spiritual Outreach provides regular Shabbat and Jewish festival programming for Jewish residents living in nonsectarian nursing homes.
  • The Daniel Connection provides supportive services to hospital patients and their families through a collaborative effort with Boston's Jewish community and hospital staff.

Death and Dying (For people facing death and loss)

  • End-of-Life Services provides spiritual support to individuals and families facing terminal illness.
  • Bereavement Services offers support groups and spiritual consultation for people dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Additional services include:

  • Individual spiritual counseling
  • Community education programs, workshops, and conferences
  • Training workshops and consultation for volunteers of synagogue caring committees and hospices
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Information and referral
