Holocaust Services has been renamed Schechter Holocaust Services thanks to the generosity of Gail and David Schechter.
Holocaust Services continues to honor JF&CS's longstanding commitment to address the needs and concerns of Holocaust survivors and their families as they change over time.
Hakalah (Support services for survivors)
- In an effort to promote and enhance the capacity of Holocaust survivors to age with dignity, Hakalah provides confidential, comprehensive social service assistance to survivors and their families at no cost.
- This includes emergency financial assistance, homecare subsidies, reparations and restitution assistance and casework.
DASH (Dental Assistance for Survivors of the Holocaust)
- DASH provides access to free dental screening and treatment to those eligible in the Greater Boston area. DASH also subsidizes laboratory and material costs for the treatment of clients under the program.
- DASH is an innovative collaboration of JF&CS, volunteer dentists, survivors, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), and interested others.
Legacies (Programs for children and grandchildren of survivors)
- Legacies, in partnership with Generations After, a group comprised of children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors and friends, recruits volunteers to make holiday visits to Holocaust survivors in need of companionship. Other volunteer services can also be provided.
- Staff offers consultation and professional staff training for caregivers of aging survivors, and collaborates with community organizations on educational programs and special events.

Hakalah is funded by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Legacies is funded by the Dorot Foundation and private support.
