Counseling & Support

Counseling & SupportMental Health Services of JF&CS is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of licensed, independent clinical social workers (LICSWs), psychologists, and a board certified psychiatrist, who are able to assess and treat a wide range of issues.

Our staff is adept at treating a full range of problems, from disabling mental illness to the emotional adjustments common during difficult life transitions. 

Individuals, couples, and families can turn to us for confidential treatment of difficulties that affect their quality of life, including:

  • Relationship, family, and divorce issues
  • Illness and disability
  • Work–related concerns
  • Anxiety and depression

Referrals

Referrals for counseling come from hospitals, primary care physicians, community agencies, and other JF&CS programs. Individuals and families may contact us directly. An intake coordinator is always available to conduct a brief evaluation over the telephone and to facilitate scheduling the first appointment.
