Services for People with Disabilities is a cluster of programs designed to enhance independence, quality of life, and inclusion in the community.

To help you plan for your loved one's future, we have put together a Family Education Workbook that you can download. The Special Needs Planning Guide for Families is also available for download. It helps families take the important first step in planning for the future of a loved one with a disability. It includes information on government benefits, guardianship, financial planning, estate planning, and special needs trusts.

Day and Work Supports
JF&CS provides employment related support, training, and volunteer opportunities to adults with disabilities through our CHAI Works! and Mitzvah Team programs.

The Disabilities Resource Network (DRN)
Provides information and referral for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Family Circle
Supports parents of children with severe neurological impairments.

In-Home Services
Helps people with disabilities acquire the skills they need to live independently.

Jewish Life Programming
Social programs for adults with disabilities or psychiatric challenges.

Nutrition Services
Provides expert direct service, training, and consultation that focus on improving nutritional health for all.

Residential Services
Community Housing for Adult Independence (CHAI) is a supported housing program that provides daily living support to adults with disabilities who seek to live independently in their own homes or in small group living situations.

Special Needs Initiative
Serves children from pre-school through high school with a variety of physical and mental disabilities and their families (located in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine).

Special Needs Trusts
Offers families a way to pay for expenses not covered by government benefits for their loved ones, without affecting government or other entitlements.
