Resources for professionals

We offer professional development, training, consultation, and supervision. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of social workers, mental health clinicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, direct care providers, program directors and specialists.

Professional Consultation and Training

JF&CS offers our experience and expertise to the community through professional trainings, consultation, supervision, program development consultation, and speaking engagements. The subject matter will be adapted to meet specific needs. Some examples include:

Infant-Parent Training Institute

The Infant-Parent Training Institute (IPTI) is the only institution in New England that offers integrated clinical and theoretical training in infant mental health. IPTI is a unique resource for providing multidisciplinary training to direct care staff, supervisors, and program directors of human service agencies, early intervention programs, hospitals, early childcare centers, and private practice.

Geriatric Institute

The mission of the Geriatric Institute is to improve the quality of life in advanced age through the translation of medical, psychological, and socio-cultural research into community-based services. The Institute is particularly interested in linking discrete research findings to create and implement practical applications.

Preventing Suicide Among the Elderly

JF&CS developed a life-changing initiative to combat suicide among seniors and the program is saving lives already. The project provides suicide assessment and intervention training for JF&CS home health nurses, aides, and personal care attendants, addressing this unmet need in the high-risk senior population.
