Signature Programs
Our Dance Program and Adult Child Support Group are unique in Massachusetts. Our monthly support group hosts expert speakers to address innovative approaches to living well with Parkinson’s. Care partners and individuals with Parkinson’s disease have a chance to meet to share strategies and provide support. Support groups are run by an occupational therapist and social workers.
In partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders Department and MGH Partners Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders Center, we launched the Tremble Clefs in 2009. This choral group is for people with Parkinson’s disease and their spouses and care partners. Participation can help address voice and communications problems through breathing, stretching and posture activities, vocal exercise, rhythm and movement, and a strong social support system.
