JF&CS Mental Health Services can help you gain a clearer understanding of your concerns, recognize their impact on your life, and increase your ability to implement new coping strategies. Our clients achieve greater productivity, self control, and independence which can in turn increase self-esteem. We can also help you identify available emotional supports and community resources.

Supporting Families:
- Parenting support and education
- Communication skills and conflict resolution
- Counseling for individuals considering infertility treatment or adoption
- Post-adoption issues: transition to parenthood, family adjustment, loss, and identity
Serving People with Disabilities:
- Counseling to enhance independent functioning
- Expertise in dealing with issues that effect all members of the family
- Coordination with JF&CS Services for People with Disabilities
Referrals
Referrals for counseling come from hospitals, primary care physicians, community agencies, and other JF&CS programs. Individuals and families may contact us directly. An intake coordinator is always available to conduct a brief evaluation over the telephone and to facilitate scheduling the first appointment.
