Free Groups for Parents of Newborns

Offered by the Center for Early Relationship Support®. Do you have a new baby under one? Would you like to meet other parents? Parents are invited to come with their infants. Our groups are free. Registration is not necessary, please come when you can.

Allston

Arlington

Please Note: Our Arlington New Parents Group will not be held on November 28 or December 26.

The entrance that the group uses is a red door on the right side of the building, facing both Massachusetts Avenue and the side street, Linwood Street. It is marked as the Head Start or Creative Beginnings entrance and is also near the circular drive through on that side of the building. There is also an elevator entrance that is on Linwood Street that many of the parents with strollers use. If you comes in the red door near Linwood and walk straight ahead, you will find the group in a large room on the right. If you use the elevator, take it to the 2nd floor, and find the group in the big room.

Brookline

Please note: Our Brookline New Parents Group will not be held on December 16, 23, and 30.

Temple Ohabei Shalom has two entrances (office entrance on Beacon Street and the preschool entrance on Marshall Street). Please enter via the office entrance on Beacon Street. Ring the bell, announce that you are coming to the New Moms group, and you will be buzzed into the building. The group is held in the library.

St. John’s Church entrance is on the corner of Revere Street and Roanoke Street. The easiest way to enter is through the red double doors where there are stairs and a railing (there is no ramp).

Medford

Medford Family Network (at Medford H.S.)

Come straight up the driveway toward Medford High School. At the left hand corner of the building is a fenced-in children's play area. The Medford Family Network is right there (the only purple door in the building) with a large round sign with the MFN logo and name. You can park anywhere across the street (one long row of parking spaces). There is a ramp up to the door for strollers, and a doorbell to gain entrance.

Watertown

The group is held in the Watertown School Administration Center, Senior Center, and Daycare at 30 Common Street (across from Watertown High School). You cannot park on Common Street and the door marked Watertown Family Network is locked. Visitors should access the group by entering from the back of the building, where there is a big parking lot. The parking lot entrance is off Marshall Street (a one-way street off Mt. Auburn Street).
