Agency Leadership
Dear Friends,

Compassion, dignity, support, hope.
Since our founding almost 150 years ago, Jewish Family & Children’s Service has offered this and more to those in need. From a bag of groceries to a rent check, from nursing care after a fall to advice for a sleep deprived new mom, JF&CS programs provide a continuum of care across all stages of life.
Every year JF&CS helps 30,000 people - newborns, new parents, families in crisis, refugees, people with disabilities, and seniors - in more than 100 cities and towns throughout Greater Boston and the North Shore.
The values of empathy, innovation, and respect for all members of the community inspire us to prevent and relieve suffering and to allow individuals and families to live independently with dignity.
With almost 700 committed and highly-trained staff and 1,600 volunteers, we have grown in scale and scope to become a leader in providing personalized, compassionate care. Because of how we do our work, JF&CS is looked to as a model for other organizations. Our programs, strategic planning, fundraising, evaluation methods, and many other cutting-edge systems and programs have garnered national and international attention.
In this uncertain economic climate, we will have challenges. Government support is shrinking while needs are increasing. We will need to be resourceful and innovative to overcome these trials. As we look to the future we will continue to scale our services to reach more people in a more profound, long-lasting way.
Together with your support, we know the community of JF&CS, our staff, volunteers, and donors, can achieve this goal.
Sincerely,

Rimma Zelfand
